Movies can be a great form of entertainment when you just want to relax in your apartment. However, movies also have the ability to inspire and motivate. In this Timberland Blog post we are highlighting a few of our favorite inspirational movies for you to watch at your Savannah, GA apartment.

 

Collateral Beauty (2016) — Drama, Romance

Retreating from life after a tragedy, a man questions the universe by writing to Love, Time and Death. Receiving unexpected answers, he begins to see how these things interlock and how even loss can reveal moments of meaning and beauty.

 

The Rookie (2002) — Drama, Family, Sport

Jim Morris is a Texas high school chemistry teacher and coach of the school's baseball team. He's always loved baseball and as a way of motivating his players, he agrees to go to a professional try-out if they win the championship. He once had aspirations to be a professional baseball player but an injury brought that to an end. Sure enough, the 39 year-old father of three finds himself at a camp for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays and he somehow seems to have regained his pitching arm, easily throwing a 98 mph fastball.

 

Soul Surfer (2011) — Biography, Drama, Family

13 year-old Bethany Hamilton is a champion surfer who was born to be in the water. But after a fun night out night surfing and what should be a fun day in the water, she is attacked by a shark and loses her arm. Rushed to the hospital, she remains calm, and maintains her faith in God. Now she has to re-learn how to do everything with only one arm - including how to surf.

 

The Blind Side (2009) — Biography, Drama, Sport

The story of Michael Oher, a homeless and traumatized boy who became an All American football player and first round NFL draft pick with the help of a caring woman and her family.

A young teacher inspires her class of at-risk students to learn tolerance, apply themselves, and pursue education beyond high school.
